The historic 406 building on Main Street in Platte, South Dakota has been a
landmark since 1900. Completely renovated in 2023-2024, it now offers two distinct
experiences: a beautifully appointed 2-bedroom loft apartment upstairs for
overnight guests, and an intimate venue space at street level for events and
gatherings. Whether you are visiting for pheasant hunting season, a Missouri River
fishing trip, a family reunion near Lake Francis Case, or simply passing through
central South Dakota, the 406 is your home base in Platte.
OUR VENUE
Our street-level venue is the perfect space for bridal showers, baby showers,
birthday parties, family reunions, holiday gatherings, and business meetings.
Located on Main Street in the heart of Platte, the venue includes tables, chairs,
a full licensed kitchen, and optional add-on services. We seat up to 32 guests
comfortably around tables, with a maximum occupancy of 48.
OUR LOFT APARTMENT
Upstairs, our 2-bedroom loft apartment blends historic charm with modern luxury.
Each bedroom features a king bed, smart TV, and quality linens. The full kitchen,
in-unit laundry, high-speed WiFi, and keypad entry make it effortless whether you
are here for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. Located just minutes from Lake
Francis Case, Snake Creek Recreation Area, and Platte Creek Recreation Area.
